The Sunshine Tour
Amsterdam – Beijing – Chengde – Beijing – Xi’an – Beijing - Amsterdam

Day 01    Depart Amsterdam to Beijing

Day 02　Arrive Beijing

Guests will be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel. After checking in, the tour will visit Tiananmen Square and all sit down for a welcome dinner. (D)

Day 03　Beijing

In the morning visit the Summer Palace, after lunch take a unique rickshaw tour of the 'Hutongs,' getting a feel of real local life in old Beijing. This is followed by a boat ride on Houhai Lake, guests are then offered the option to experience a performance of traditional Beijing Opera in the evening (B/L)

Day 04　Beijing

In the morning visit the Imperial Palace, residence 500 years of Chinese emperors, the Forbidden City, then go to the Jingshan Park to gain a bird’s eye view of the grand palace from the elevated summit of Jingshan. After lunch we will visit the Temple of Heaven. In the evening dinner is a memorable banquet of the world famous Beijing Roast Duck in sumptuous surroundings. (B/L/D)

Day 05　Beijing / Chengde

In the morning the tour will follow breakfast with a drive to Chengde, visiting the Great Wall en route, at the Jinshanling section. There guests will be amazed by the the grand view and serenic view offered from the wall while enjoying a picnic lunch. The drive will then continue to Chengde, upon arrival we will visit the Mountain Resort before transferring to the hotel (B/L/D)

Day 06　Chengde

All the treats of Chengde will be exhibited today through tours of the Puning Temple and Putuozongcheng, both good examples of the Lamasery. Following this we will continue to the Bangchui Peak, ascending by chairlift to enjoy a breath-taking birds eye view of this mountainous city (B/L/D)

Day 07　Chengde / Beijing / Xi’an

Today the tour will drive back to Beijing airport for the afternoon flight to Xi’an, where, upon arrival, it will transfer to the hotel (B/L)

Day 08　Xi’an

The morning visit to the Terracotta Warriors will afford time to take a close look at the most significant archaeological discovery in recent history. After this once in a lifetime experience, we will visit the Bronze Chariots & Horses. Following lunch the tour will visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, the Grand Mosque and the Muslim quarter, and an optional traditional Tang Era dance and song show is offered for guests entertainment in the evening (B/ L)

Day 09　Xi’an / Beijing

In the morning we will visit the impressive Shaanxi provincial Museum before transferring to the airport for the flight back to Beijing, where, upon arrival we will transfer to the hotel (B)

Day 10　Beijing

Transfer to the airport for flight back Amsterdam (B)
